Public Lands in North America Need Our Help
Today, April 22nd, 2025, 100% of the revenue from our US and Canadian webshops goes directly to forest conservation. That means everything you spend will go towards protecting the places in nature that we all love.
As of February 2025, protections for federal public lands in the United States are being repealed in favor of mining and drilling.
This puts over 13 million acres of protected lands at risk of destruction and irreparable harm. These lands include habitats for 32 endangered species and 27 threatened species, as well as streams that provide drinking water for over 2 million people.

What Can We Do?
The most important thing we can do now is use our voices and, in Icebug’s case, business as a force for good! That is why, on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2025, Icebug will donate all US sales made to The Wildlife Society and the Conservation Lands Foundation.
If you are shopping from Canada, your money will go to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) to help them advocate for Canadian forests.
If you need a new pair of shoes, this is a great time to purchase one and support the fight to protect North America’s public lands. If you don’t have a need to fill but still want to contribute, we encourage you to donate directly to any of these organizations. As always, we advocate only buying what you need and making the most of the products you already have.
This is the time to use your voice! Contact your representatives and government officials. Thank you for supporting us as we help protect the forests and habitats that are so important to us all.
